It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

We finally got some of the decorations up this week. We all went together on Tuesday to get the tree, & then Isabel helped put the decorations up that evening after Mark did the lights. This was the 1st year she could really help, & she oooohed & aaaahhed over each ornament. I especially liked telling her about the ones that were mine when I was a little girl. We don't do a themed tree. We've collected ornaments over the years from our travels or things that mean a lot to us. Can you guess the major themes??? Drums, any doctor related, UNC galore & (you guessed it!!) fleur de lis!!

Sing Along

Okay, I just have to share this sweet video. Today, the children had a Sing Along w/ the music minister at Isabel's school. I didn't get any good videos of the Christmas music, but I did get this video. So Sweet!!!

P.S. That's our beloved Miss Bekki sitting next to Isabel. We love you Bekki!!

MOMs Club Christmas Party

Our local MOMs Club had it's Christmas party over the weekend. It was held at the Children's Museum, so we got to have a little fun around the museum before our visit w/ the "big man."

We may have a little tomboy on our hands. If you listen carefully, you can hear her ask Santa for a scooter, a tractor & a racecar. What happened to my little girl who was obsessed w/ princesses? She's so much fun!

Christmas Wishes

Isabel is also VERY into her Christmas Wish List this year. She asks me every night if tomorrow is Christmas. Then she recites her Christmas List several times a day. I'm not sure what will happen if she doesn't get everything on her list. I don't think she has grasped the concept that these are wishes instead of necessities. Uh-Oh!! Anyway, I've updated her list on the side. The 3 items she mentions in this clip are the 1st 3 items on the list in the side-bar (just to clarify).

The Queen of all Knock-Knock jokes

Isabel has recently discovered Knock-Knock jokes. She is always asking her Daddy to come up w/ new Knock-Knock jokes, but she is also quite clever & comes up w/ some on her own. Here are the comic stylings of Miss. Isabel:

Maggie is here!!

The newest cousin in our clan arrived this past week too!!! Maggie Eloise Cunningham
Born: 11/3/09 at 10:52 a.m.
8 lbs. 4 oz.
21" long

I've already been back & forth to Raleigh twice, & I'm anxious to get back. She's absolutely beautiful!! Everyone got home on Friday, & all is well except she's got her days & nights confused. Big Brother Finn is elated & proud. It's adorable to watch!

Bye to Ms. Crisa

Isabel's lead teacher left this past week. She got a full-time job w/ Guilford Co. Schools, so no one can blame her for leaving. But it is sad for us none-the-less. Good Luck w/ everything Ms. Crisa!!
On the plus side, however, Isabel's beloved baby-sitter Miss. Bekki is filling in until they find a replacement. So, actually the transition couldn't have gone smoother.
